Women like to talk and they like men to listen. Shy guys tend to be better at this, but you just need to be careful that you don't get put in the friend zone because of this.

A girl who likes to be the dominant partner in a relationship will often go for a shy guy. Opposites attract and two loud dominant personalities is often too much for one relationship. So if you are shy and don't mind someone else taking the lead, you will have a lot of opportunities with dominant women.

The Struggles Of Shy Men

Shy men make great friends and this is a problem when it comes to dating and relationships. Bad boys, jerks and hyper confident men will have more success because they aren't afraid of being open about what they want.

The shy reserved guy who doesn't assert his desires will miss the boat and end up in the friend zone.

You can't be backwards about coming forwards and you still have to make the first move. The odd woman from time to time might make the first move and take the pressure off you. But the vast majority won't do so, and if you fail to make the move you will miss opportunities.

Girls still like to be pursued, to feel wanted. Even long into a relationship, she wants to feel sexy and know that she is alluring and you will make a move to chase her. You have to have the ability to make things happen. Shy guys struggle with this.

Women don't always want you to ask for permission and they definitely don't want to be a tour guide when things get intimate. They want you to take the lead, some if not most of the time, so you need to be able to use your instincts and act when the moment is right. When you have been dating for a while you will inevitably end up at a social event with her friends. You need to be able to hold your own in this situation, as she won't want to babysit you. You have to be able to make small talk and be happy talking to strangers and making friends. This is a huge obstacle to shy men.

What To Do If You Are A Shy Guy

Shyness doesn't need to mean weakness. You can be a quiet guy but still have confidence.

I was very shy in my teens and early twenties but I learned how to overcome it. However I am still quiet and reserved, particularly when I meet new people. However underneath the reservation I have a lot of confidence. I don't lack social skills, I'm just not a big talker.

So you don't have to change your whole personality and the way you come across. You don't need to become a loudmouth.

But you do need to take it upon yourself to start developing your confidence, so that underneath the outward appearance of shyness, you know that you carry a pair of balls.

Any man, whether outwardly confident or outwardly shy, needs to be able to express his desires with women and go and get what he wants. Sometimes this will mean failure and rejection but you have to get used to that.

Just talk with women to build confidence. If you want to date her then ask her out. Suck up the courage. Otherwise if you don't, you will walk away empty handed.
